NWA 40 Days for Life Gets Front Page News and National Publicity In Fayetteville Vigil

Update on March 9, 2015

Since I first wrote this post on Feb. 28, 11 days ago, the local news has maintained steady coverage of this issue.  There have also been more articles written about the topic in places like One News Now (American Family Radio’s news)

Following is a comprehensive list of the media coverage that 40 Days for Life has received locally.  ADG is short for Arkansas Democrat Gazette:

Editorial by Mike Masterson, who’s column is regularly published in the  ADG. “Upholding Free Speech Rights”: 3-7-15

Editorial representing the opinion of the ADG: “Road to infringement: Government should ask questions first” 3-7-15

(note: Mike’s column says abortions are done at the Planned Parenthood Health Clinic.  The editorial (which does not give credit to an individual, which means it is the opinion of the paper) says that abortions are NOT performed there.

Amazing Stories of People Who Converted to Pro-Life

Abortionists. Abortion clinic owners. A secretary. A social worker. Listen to these stories and more.  The two talks that I heard were powerful, gripping, inspiring, and gave me more insight into how to dialogue with pro-choice people.  This is well worth the time, people. Clean your house. Wash some dishes. Download and listen in your car. Fill your time with listening to good stuff that will motivate you to be a pro-life activist who really makes a difference.

Do Hormonal Birth Controls End a Life? Yes.

“Most medical organizations define pregnancy as beginning with implantation. By this definition anything that prevents implantation is still considered contraception, including oral contraceptives. However, life begins when fertilization occurs, so many Christians would consider oral contraceptives an abortifacient — a drug that causes a very early abortion. These medical facts have been controversial because many Christian doctors prescribe OCs and many Christians take oral contraceptives without full knowledge of this information. This is not an accident. Pharmaceutical companies downplay the abortive mechanism to keep Christian women buying their products. ”  Read more here.
